Waghire College of Arts, Commerce and Science ,Saswad is established in 1972 by Pune Distict Education Association. The Science faculty is started from 1986. The subject Mathematics is at subsidiary level.

Initially, there is Mathematics subject at F.Y,S.Y level only. Faculty of the department is taking effort to enhance student interest in mathematics.The students of the department participate in the various activities, such as Group discussion , Seminar ,Science Exibition etc.
